ILM Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring: In-house, 1 to 1 and Zoom virtual workshops with Gill Graves author of Coaching With Impact

Please Note: Effective 31st August 2023 we will no longer be offering ILM accredited programmes to new learners. Existing learners are unaffected. We will continue to offer non-accredited programmes so please contact us.

Virtual learning is the new norm and we offer all our ILM programmes in a virtual format using Zoom and our online learning portal as well as in the traditional workshop format.

The ILM Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring from Iridium provides managers and professionals with the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform as effective  coaches and mentors as part of their day to day role. All our ILM workshops are run by Gill Graves author of ‘Coaching With Impact at Work’ and a very experienced coach, mentor, supervisor and facilitator.  Gill is one of the UK’s most highly qualified coaches with an MA in Coaching and Mentoring and the EMCC Master Practitioner designation. Gill is also a qualified supervisor of coaches and is currently researching for a PhD in Team Coaching in Organisations. The programme is highly interactive, fun and demands a very high level of participation both during workshops and between workshops.

Testimonials for this programme:

I can highly recommend it for its quality. I found it useful not only to develop my coaching skills but it also gave me food for thought about using coaching techniques in my day to day management.

The trainer, Gill Graves, was excellent. Training does not always turn out to be good but this course certainly is.

The structure worked well – some information giving but a lot of trying out with colleagues. It came at a good pace and resulted in confidence and understanding growing quickly.

This ILM Certificate in Coaching is made up of three core components:

  • The characteristics of effective coaching and the business case for coaching.
  • Building of core skills for coaching and reflection on the ethical and moral issues involved.
  • Planning and delivering at least 18 hours of coaching in line with organisational goals. (Please factor in the time and effort required to plan, undertake and write up the coaching hours.)

There are three work assignments, a work based plan for implementing a coaching programme, a coaching/mentoring diary and a reflective review. (Again, please factor in the time and effort needed to complete these assignments.) Our book ‘Coaching with Impact at Work‘  provides the core material for the course.

The programme is run either as an in-house or a one to one programme over six days typically over a four to six month period. Typical then there is a period of coaching followed by the written assignments and so participants typically take 12 to 18 months to complete.

Each programme is bespoke and tailored to the individuals participating.

One to One Programme

The one to one programme provides the ultimate flexibility as the timing of sessions will be mutually agreed between you and Gill and so if you wish you can start very quickly. At present the majority of sessions are via Zoom.

The cost is £2995+VAT per participant.

In-house programme

Traditionally we have run bespoke in-house programmes for organisations with ideally 12 participants.

We assume that the organisation will provide a suitable venue or we can run via Zoom. As each programme is bespoke please contact us for a quote.

What makes these programmes stand out from the rest is the highly practical nature of the content and the experience of Gill to bring the content to life.

Every workshop provides tools and techniques that can be immediately applied in the workplace.

The outline of a typical programme for the ILM Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring in Management is:
